Creating a Client in Patreon

• Create a Patreon account here: https://www.patreon.com/
• Once your Patreon account is created, visit this link to create a Client: https://www.patreon.com/portal/registration/register-clients
• Click “Create Client”
  • Name and Description are required fields
  • Set your App category to Other
  • Set Redirection URIs (example: https://realm-name.realms.tv/auth/patreon)
    • Where you see realm enter the name of your realm
  • Set “Client API Version” to 2
  • Fill out the rest of the fields as required or as you see fit
  • Click Save
• On the Client you created, click the drop down in the right corner
• Copy the Client ID and Client Secret

Creating a Webhook in Patreon

• Go to this page: https://www.patreon.com/portal/registration/register-webhooks
• Create a new Webhook URL (example: https://realm-name.realms.tv/auth/patreon)
  • Where you see realm enter the name of your realm
• Set these events:
  • Pledges:delete
  • Members:update
  • Members:delete
  • Members:pledge:update
  • Members:pledge:delete
• Click Save
• Copy Webhook secret for later

Connecting your Patreon to Realms.tv

• Go to the integration page within your realm
• Select Patreon
• Select your level of syncing
• Enter the Client ID
• Enter the Client secret
• Click Save

Note: Please verify the email for your Patreon account before attempting to login to Realms.tv. If your Patreon account email hasn't been verified, you'll be unable to login using your Patreon account.
