Is this your first time creating a live stream on YouTube?

How to verify your account

If this is your first time using YouTube for live streaming or you just created your YouTube channel, you’ll need to wait 24 hours before creating your first live stream on YouTube. This is a one time occurrence and won’t happen for future streams.

In order to live stream on your channel, you need to have no live streaming restrictions on your channel in the past 90 days and you also need to verify your channel by going to https://www.youtube.com/verify.

Until your channel is verified, you won’t be able to embed YouTube streams into Realms.tv, but as soon as you’re verified you will no longer run into this limitation.

Is your account verified, but you still can’t stream?

If your account is verified and you’re still unable to embed the stream, you’ll need to make sure that embedding is enabled on your video or live stream in YouTube. To do this:

  • Enter YouTube.com
  • Click the camera icon in the top right corner
  • Click go live
  • Click edit on the live stream you’re attempting to start
  • Scroll down in the details section and enable “Allow embedding”
  • Click save

Once this is done you’ll have the ability to livestream on realms using YouTube.
