Set a revenue split for appointment payouts
This is the rate at which payments for appointments will be automatically split between the realm and channel. You can set a percentage that applies to all channel appointments or you can also override this split per channel if you’d like to increase or decrease the payout split for an individual channel.
How are payouts calculated?
Before a channel manager is paid, there are a few fees that need to be taken from the total amount a channel has earned for payment process and keeping the platform running, below is an example of the payout process to clear up any confusion.
- Ben’s Channel has 100 credits and each credit costs $1.
- Each time a donation is made to Ben’s Channel, the donor will pay an additional fee for Stripe to process the payment, so the total amount the user may pay per credit is roughly $1.30, the 30 cents being taken by Stripe.
- Realms.tv will also take a cut of the revenue earned from that donation so that we can keep the platform running and continue to add new features. If you’re on a free plan, this cut would be 20%, but it can be decreased on other plan options that you can see here.
- Once both Stripe and Realms.tv have taken their cut, the realm will gain 80 cents of the $1 credit purchase.
- Then, if you as the realm owner go to payout Ben’s Channel and you have a 50/50 payout agreement with him, if Ben’s channel has 100 credits (each representing $1) after fees and the payout agreement you share, he would earn $40 and you would keep the remaining $40.
