Creating chat rules

Every community is unique and needs different rules for chat. Here’s a guideline to follow for your community and feel free to add to it to make it a perfect fit for your users.

  • Be kind: Feedback is good, but it should be constructive rather than mean. Take an extra second to think about what you post
  • Respect others: Streamers and other viewers are real people. Do not sexualize, describe violent actions towards them, or dehumanize them
  • Make the community inclusive: This community is for everyone and no one should feel that they don’t below. We don’t allow stereotypes, hate speech, or discriminatory language
  • Listen to the moderation team: We trust our team and moderators are there to keep the community safe. Follow moderator instructions and communicate any concerns with them respectfully
